WEP Wednesdays are fun, motivational, and educational meetings held for all of the women in engineering students once a month. Both multicultural and women engineers may participate in the meetings. The meetings are directed by Cheryl Knobloch, WEP’s Associate Director. A typical WEP Wednesday would include dinner for all, and afterwards, there are student and guest speakers that talk about engineering topics of interest.
For example, a panel of upper-class women engineers may discuss their experiences with career fairs, interviews, or co-ops and internships. This allows students to have their questions concerning these topics answered and at the same time, the girls are all able to meet and get to know each other. Sometimes there are guest speakers and seminars as well.
